Summary: I bought this model in Feb. '08 and now it's September. Right out of the box the burners did not ignite quickly (within ~5 seconds). I figured I'd let it "break in" for a few weeks, but the problem remained. Sears sent a friendly technician out, who told me I didn't know how to light a stove. (I'm supposed to turn it *past* the ignite range, and then back to ignite?) Well, even that doesn't work well. Probably 1 out of 5 times, I still end up trying to ignite it so long that I have to stop to let the gas smell clear. Then I use a match. What a waste!
Even once it's lit, the heat is uneven. There is a gap in the burner which lets extra heat out on one side of the fire ring.
Also, the burner caps are not well-made and the edges are chipping from the heat. Sears sent new ones quickly, but what happens when my 1year warranty is up??
Finally, the grates have a pretty curved design, which looks nice, but any pot with a small base must be carefully placed dead-center, or it will tip!
It gets 3 stars because the water does boil quickly, the oven works well and it's pretty easy to clean.

Summary: I just completed a total kitchen and bath renovation and construction and researched appliances to purchase by reading the usual publications and visiting appliance stores. I'm very pleased with my choice of GE Profile appliances, and especially this range. It cooks evenly and well. The oven preheats fast. Eggs, omelettes and pancakes have all come out extremely good. The griddle also performs well. Although bringing a large pot of water to boil on the power burner takes longer than the Wolf cooktop at my parent's house, water still boils faster on this range than on those relatively new ranges at homes I visit, and I did not pay a Wolf price. Styling-wise, it looks good too. I would have preferred a manual not printed on what looks like newsprint.
